is there a functionality by which we can have a context menu on calendar without having an event there.
if its not there yet are you planning to have that in near future?
because what i think whenever a comes across a new thing over the Web the first step user performs is right click....

Yes, right click is supported. You can test it here:

Two scenarios are supported:
- Just right-click somewhere and a context menu appears.
- Select a time range by dragging a mouse over a free time block (just like in Outlook). The selection becomes active and you can right-click it.
