Clicking and dragging "out of view"

If I want to create an event for a number of months, I click and drag on the start date and then to the end of the screen, where it stops. Is there any way to get the scheduler to "scroll" automatically as I click and drag, so that I can select very long periods? If this is not currently a feature, please can it be added for future versions? Thanks!

This feature is not available yet, but it's in the wishlist already. It will appear in one of the future releases, most likely 6.1.
