Critical regression: Infinite scrolling jumps

Asked by Leo

Hi Dan,

The latest version of DayPilot has a regression that again introduces jumping in the infinite scrolling. We can observe it in Chrome, but other browsers may also be affected. It’s a s before - the scheduler keeps on jumping forward as long as you hold the scrollbar.

Would it be possible to have a hotfix for this?

Many thanks
Leo

Hi Leo,

I don’t see the regression in the live demo. Are you sure that you are using the latest DayPilot version?

This doesn’t seem to be related to the new release (the implementation didn’t change).

However, I see that the scrollbars in your video partially collapse when the Scheduler isn’t focused. That might be the problem. However, this doesn’t happen in a fresh Windows 11 Sandbox instance and the latest Chromium. So it looks like you might have changed the scrollbar behavior settings.

Can you confirm that?

Hi Dan,

Apologies indeed - it is not a regression: It happens under a different Chrome-based browser, Helium. I can’t change the behaviour of the scrollbars, though - there is no option.

Cheers
Leo

The overlay scrollbar fallback is applied only to selected browsers (Firefox everywhere and Webkit on Mac). In Webkit-based browsers you can force a fixed scrollbar (as described here) to solve this problem.
